jagweb7 OFFLINE Fresh Boarder Posts: 2 Karma: 0	Hello - I'm new to PP and learning my way through. So far its great. My questions relates to alpha numeric data. I am trying to link to an Excel table that has a column with alpha numeric data and a column with currency data. The alpha numeric data comes in blank. However, if I copy and paste the Excel data it displays fine. Any ideas as to why it doesn't display when linked? Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

If I understand it correctly, you have two columns (Column 1 has alphanumeric data type and Column 2 has Currency data type). When you create a linked table in PP, Column 1 is imported as blank values while Column 2 is imported with original values.

I tried doing this a lot of times in PP and it worked absolutely fine for me. I think its more to do with the data. I suggest you import the data in MS-Excel and see if it is the case. If it imports in MS-Excel, it should work in PP.
