Actually it would be a lot easier to convert the range into a table after making the preliminary column of dates. At the point, as soon as you enter in a new column name or formula to the left of the table, the table will automatically expand. then, whenever you type a new formula into a blank column, the formula is automatically copied down for all rows for you.
